1. Who is the president of USA? 


The president of USA is Barack Obama. He has been president since 2008.

2. Who was the first president? 

The first president of  USA was George Washington. He participated in the Independence War of USA. Five years after the war finished they celebrated elections and George won with a 100%. He was president until he died the 14th of December of 1799.

Who was Abraham Lincoln?

Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president of U.S.A. He was born 12 February in 1809 and he was dead 15 April in 1865. He served as president since 1861 to 1865, during the American Civil War. Lincoln has been remembered as the “Great Emancipator” because he worked to end slavery in U.S.A.

4. What are the national symbols?


* The Liberty Bell
The Liberty Bell was known as the old Bell of the State until 1837, when it was adopted by the American anti-slavery society as a symbol of the abolitionist movement.




* The statue of the liberty 

The statue of liberty was a gift from the French to the Americans in 1886 to commemorate the centenary of the Declaration of independence of the United States and as a sign of friendship between the two Nations. It was inaugurated on October 28, 1886, in the presence of the US President of the time, Grover Cleveland.



The bald Eagle 

The bald Eagle is both the national bird and national animal of the United States of America. The bald eagle appears on its seal. In the late 20th century it was on the brink of extirpation in the contiguous United States. Populations have since recovered and the species was removed from the U.S. government's list of endangered species on July 12, 1995 and transferred to the list of threatened species.

5. USA flag. How many bars and stars are there? Why?


There are 13 bars because of the first 13 colonies of USA. There are 50 stars, each star represents a state.

They were Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Virginia, New York, North Carolina, and Rhode Island.

6. Where is the Golden Gate Bridge?
The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge that crosses over the San Francisco Bay, going from San Francisco to Marin County, in the U.S. state of California. It was opened in 1937. When the bridge was finished, its length of 9,266 ft (2824 m) made it the longest bridge in the world. Now there are several bridges that are longer, but for many people, it is still one of the most beautiful bridges in the world.

The Silicon Valley is the home of the largest technology corporations in the U.S. It is located in Northern California, within the southern region of San Francisco. Silicon Valley was first given its name because of the many silicon chip creators and manufacturers there.
Microprocessor technology was developed in Silicon Valley along with other vital computing technologies. These have contributed to the high-level operating systems used today.
