Scotland at school
May 9th David Vivanco came to our school again. It was a Scottish day with songs, dances and stories.

Here you have some photos and the children words about David.

On May 9th David Vivanco came to school. At nine o´clock he was playing the bagpipes, played two songs: one was the anthem of Spain. Then we went to the assembly hall and we sang, danced… I have a great time!!!!

A few days ago, David Vivanco came to our school. First he played a game with us. We sang while three of us had to do the song actions. After that he taught us a couple of dances. He said goodbye to another year. I was happy.

On Friday May 9 David Vivanco come to School. The children sing and dance the song of the tree birds. After we danced a dance named Oxo and it was fun.

   On Friday 9th of May a Scottish man called David Vivanco came to visit our school. David Vivanco was waiting for us at the entrance of the school and he was playing the bagpipes and he played the Spanish hymn.
 5º and 6º were together in the meeting room. David Vivanco played one of his songs with his guitar. After three children danced that song.
Later all together danced traditional dances.
Finally we said goodbye to him. We had a good time.

The 9th of May a sympathetic and charming Scottish comes to our school, David Vivanco¡ Every year he comes to our school to teach his songs and traditional dances of his country.
To start the day, he played the bagpipes for the whole school (including family members). We started representing one of his songs called "THREE BIRDS", it was fun; later we learned three traditional dances of his country, one of them was called OXO REEL, a funny name, and I liked most was the last, because there were many movements and we have lot of fun.
David Vivanco always surprises me with the dances and songs brings prepared.

On 9th of May, David Vivanco came back to our school. He came out to meet us at the entrance of the school like last year.
He is an important Scottish musician that plays the bagpipes and dances Scottish songs very well. He was dressed with a kilt and green long socks.
This year we did a lot of funny things. First, we sang a funny song that it talked about the birds. After, we danced three songs and finally he said us goodbye.
 I don‘t know if we will see David Vivanco again because this is our last year in our school, but it was a fun and amazing experience for me. I hope to see you soon David!!

David Vivanco came to school. When we arrived, he played the bagpipes. Then we made a theater of a song, it was fun. After, we danced and sang songs and taught us a dance called Oxo.

On Friday, the 9th of May, 2014, David Vivanco came to our school, he is from Scotland. In the morning, before we go into school he played a song and the Spanish anthem with the bagpipe. Then, we went to the assembly hall. There we were singing a song in which pupils had to act. Then we danced two typical dances of his country. This day we had fun, and we learned many things.

He sang a song with three children. The name of the song was “Three crows sat upon a wall”. Then we danced a song in couples. We danced two songs and when we finished we were tired.

On 9th of May, a Scottish man, David Vivanco came to school and we danced Scottish dances, we sang and it was very funny. Before he came, we worked about UK and painted little orange cows. David played the bagpipes, I love bagpipes and Scottish dances!!

Last Friday 9th David Vivanco came to our school. We danced some dances, one called Oxo. He played the bagpipe. He taught us songs and dances. It was fun and we finished tired. But, it was SPECIAL!!!!! The Scottish dances are entertaining and funny. They're very easy! I love them!

MAY 2013

On May 8th we danced and sang with David Vivanco. It was a funny and great day for all of us. Here you can see us dancing as Scots people. We do our best!

  Hello! our names are  Alex and Ricardo.
We really enjoyed the visit  of  David Vivanco and we liked the dances but what we liked most was “alli bally, ally-bally bee” song, also called Coulter's candy.
LAST WEEK DAVID VIVANCO WAS IN OUR SCHOOL. WE HAVE DONE DIFEERET DANCES.WE HAVE ENJOYED HIS VISIT AND WE HOPE HE COMES BACK AGAIN.

David Vivanco is from Scotland. He was wearing typical Scottish clothes. He taught us to sing and dance. The fifth and sixth classes sang and danced with David. He is a very funny, very nice and talkative person.

David Vivanco played the Spanish anthem with his bagpipe.

On May 8th, we received a visit from a very special person in our school. That person is a known and friendly Scottish named David Vivanco. He came to teach us: some of his songs, traditional dances: in general culture of his country. We had a good time.
We started making a circle on the floor and singing some of his songs. Then began my favorite part: dance. We danced two traditional dances.

David played the Spanish anthem ... With the bagpipes!

The day May 8, 2013, a famous Scottish man came to visit us. He is famous for his dances and songs. He wore traditional Scottish skirt and he came out to meet us at the entrance of the school.
First he was with the 4º th level and later with the 5º th and 6º th level. He played for us two songs with bagpipes and finally he played the Spanish anthem.

 It was funny to sing and dance with him!!

On May 8th, David Vivanco, a Scottish man, came to our school and taught us traditional dances from Scotland. They were hard and difficult but I enjoyed them, he also sang some of his songs like ``Coulter's candy''. It was funny and I really enjoyed it!

On Wednesday 8th of May a Scottish man called David Vivanco came to Jose María de Pereda school from scotland. He taught a native dance of scotland. That day the bell of the school didn’t ring because David Vivanco played the bagpipe.

All of us danced and had fun with him. He only spoke English and we had to pay attention to understand him.
It was great and I hope he comes back.

We were with David Vivanco. We learned many things as for example: things about Scotland, new songs … also we did many things as: sing, dance…
We dance two songs as last year, it was very funny, at the end of the activity he taught an exercise with the fingers and also he played the anthem of Spain with the bagpipes.

On May 8th David Vivanco visited our school. We danced and sang some famous songs of him. He talked about his country, Scotland, and his city, Edinburgh. David Vivanco’s most famous song is Coulter´s Candy and he taught a new song.  We danced two dances very fast-paced and very difficult. We had a great time. I would like to repeat the experience.
